We’re only 15 days into a replacement year (and a replacement decade), but already variety of bizarre new trends have cropped abreast of social media.
Last week it had been putting ice cubes in cereal, in the week it’s Valentine’s trees.
Yes, it seems some people are so keen to stay their Christmas trees up, that they are redecorating them with all the pink and red baubles they will find to celebrate Valentine Day .
Currently on Instagram there are quite 2,400 posts with the hashtag #ValentinesTree and therefore the photos show the festive firs completely transformed for love season, adorned with hearts, feathers, roses, messages of affection and even teddy bears.
Some of the foremost popular photos on the location were created by Jennifer Houghton on her account TurtleCreekLane.
Jennifer, who has quite 298,000 followers works hard to make extravagant themed decor in her beautiful home – turning it into an enormous gingerbread house over the Christmas period, complete with nutcrackers and sweets everywhere the place and making a spooky Halloween haven crammed with pumpkins and cauldrons for October 31.
Now she’s preparing to try to to it again, filling her home amorously , so she’s been sharing pictures of her Valentine’s trees from previous years and it’s inspired others to try to to an equivalent with theirs.
A user named shabbynvintagenchic gave their tree a make over, writing: “Soo…I did this thing…We’re exactly one month faraway from Valentine’s Day so I can share right? i’d love my Christmas tree such a lot that I kept it up and turned it into a Valentine’s tree.”
Similarly, mrsosterglam posted snaps of her tree, writing: “I finally made a Valentine’s Day tree!! I’ve never done one before, but numerous of you’ve got inspired me to try to to this, so thanks for sharing your pics.”
MillenialWitch89 added: “Our Valentines tree! I keep my tree up all winter and alter up the decorations counting on which holiday is arising .”
However, not most are so keen on the thought .
