Tesco issues 3-week warning to all Clubcard holders | Personal Finance | Finance

Tesco has issued a three-week warning to all Clubcard holders to use their points or risk losing them for good.

The supermarket chain has warned that £16.5 million worth of Clubcard vouchers are due to expire at the end of this month, so loyalty shoppers need to act quick to make sure their points don’t go to waste. Clubcard vouchers are only valid for two years from the date of issue and cannot be used or reissued after this date, so if they aren’t used in time they will be lost. The vouchers need to be exchanged before the clock strikes midnight on the evening of Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Shoppers can login to the Tesco Clubcard website online and click on ‘Clubcard account’ and then ‘Vouchers’ to check when their vouchers expire, or you can check via the Tesco app.

Once you’ve found your vouchers you can spend them online or in-store using the code provided. Every £1 spent equates to one point when scanning your Clubcard or app, and drivers can earn one point for every two litres that is spent on fuel.

One point is equivalent to 1p, so every 100 points you collect amounts to a £1 to spend in store, or £2 to spend with one of more than 100 Reward Partners, including

Clubcard vouchers can also be used to save money on petrol, or be doubled in value and spent at more than 100 reward partners, including Disney+, Pizza Express, easyJet, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Cineworld.

The supermarket is currently running a new Tesco Tuesdays offer with Cineworld, with Clubcard members able to get cinema tickets for Tuesday showings for just £5 (£2.50 in Clubcard Vouchers), while a new triple value voucher offer with PizzaExpress means £10 of Clubcard vouchers can be redeemed for a code for £30 off food at the pizzeria.

Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director Shama Wilson said: “We don’t want anyone to miss out on making the most of their Tesco Clubcard Vouchers, and with some great new offers with Clubcard Rewards this really is a great time to use those vouchers up.

“The value of vouchers expiring is higher than usual this quarter, and if all the vouchers expiring were used for Tesco Tuesdays it would be enough to get 6.6million cinema tickets at Cineworld.

“If they were exchanged with PizzaExpress they could secure an amazing £49.5million of reward codes towards food, so it really is worth checking in the Tesco app to see if you have any vouchers expiring.”

If your Clubcard vouchers are due to expire and you don’t want to spend them yet, it may be possible to extend the expiry date by another two years.

To do this you’ll need to make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page and the remaining balance will then be credited back to your Clubcard account as points.

These points can then be swapped for vouchers manually or you can wait for them to be converted with your next statement. The new expiry date for these vouchers will then be two years later, so you’ll have until November 2027 to use them.
