Emma Raducanu celebrated her 23rd birthday in style on Thursday, enjoying some good food and some time with her loved ones. It’s been a positive year for the Brit, who played the most matches in a single season in her career, reached her first WTA 1000 quarter-final in Miami, and pushed world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in some close matches.

Raducanu’s season ended with some disappointment, however, as she was forced to cut things short and withdraw from her last two tournaments due to illness. The former US Open champion also had some tough losses during the Asian swing. But she’s still managed to climb to No. 29 in the world, putting her in a prime position to be seeded for January’s Australian Open.

The British No. 1 has since been enjoying her off-season. After a brief holiday and a visit to the England rugby camp, she got to celebrate her birthday in London, visiting Cambio de Tercio for some salmon and tapas, and leaving them a touching message.
