Europe’s ‘best all-inclusive resort’ named with 10 pools and beach | Europe | Travel
A 5-star hotel set on a peninsula in Corfu has been awarded the title of Europe’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort at the World Travel Awards for the second year in a row.
Ikos Odisia scooped the gong in 2024 and now 2025 for its resort on the east coast of the island, in a quiet part of the Dassia Bay area. Since this modern resort only opened its doors in 2023, that’s an impressive feat, so what is it about this all-inclusive that puts it above the competition?
When you stay in an all-inclusive resort, a decent pool is essential, and the Ikos Odisia has a whopping 10 heated outdoor pools to choose from. There’s also a splash pool for kids and an indoor pool in the spa area. But if you don’t like to share, there are even rooms with private pools available, including new three and four-bedroom villas, which will be launching for summer 2026.
Once you’ve located your sunlounger, you can simply sit and soak up the sun, with towel service and waiting staff to bring you your cocktail of choice. You also get the same high levels of service at the hotel’s sandy beach, which is set up with padded loungers and parasols, so you can get comfortable after a dip in the turquoise sea.
Another place to unwind is in the resort’s luxury spa, which has a thermal suite with sauna and steam bath, spa pool overlooking the sea, and offers a wide range of luxury treatments. If you’re traveling with kids and need some alone time, there are kids’ clubs available for children aged six months and over, with morning and afternoon sessions offered. For under fours, the creche is an extra cost, but for 4-12 year olds, the kids club is included in the price and features a huge range of activities to keep them entertained throughout the day.
Your stay also includes activities such as paddleboarding, yoga sessions, tennis, and a round of golf. There’s also complimentary bike hire if you want to explore the peninsula, and the resort can arrange the hire of an electric car if you want to go further. Dassia has lots of beautiful beaches, where you can take part in popular activities from sailing to waterskiing, so it’s worth spending some time exploring.
When it comes to all-inclusive dining, many people will have visions of chaotic buffets, but you get plenty of choice at Ikos Odisia. While there is a Mediterranean buffet for all-day dining, there are also seven a la carte restaurants with cuisine from Greek to Spanish, Peruvian, and Asian, and an impressive premium wine lists.
Of course, it’s sometimes nice to leave the resort in the evening to try some local spots, and as part of your all-inclusive package, there’s a Dine Out option at three local restaurants. This means you can try some local spots at no extra charge and enjoy the atmosphere in town.
As the sun goes down, visit one of the cocktail bars for a pre-dinner drink. There’s also a programme of entertainment in the hotel from live music to fireworks, plus beach parties to make the most of those warm summer evenings.
