Two Scottish golf clubs have severed all links with the disgraced former Prince Andrew, stripping him of patronages held for decades. The Royal Perth Golfing Society has ended his 1996 patronage and scrapped the Duke of York Trophy created in his honour. Nearby Royal Montrose Mercantile Golf Club also quietly dropped the man now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as patron several years ago.

In a further snub, St Andrews’ popular Duke’s Course — named after Andrew when it opened in 1995 — will be renamed the Craigtoun Course next month, reports the Courier. The moves compound the damage to the golf-mad royal’s reputation after he was stripped of his prince title, military roles and all patronages by King Charles last month over his Jeffrey Epstein ties. Once captain of the prestigious Royal and Ancient Golf Club, Andrew now faces fresh isolation from the sport he loves.
