Royal fans issue same complaint about Meghan Markle’s Christmas playlist | Royal | News
Keeping up with the Christmas spirit, Meghan Markle posted her personal Christmas playlist on Instagram for fans to take inspiration from, but critics have complained that Meghan’s choice of songs is not very “kid-friendly”. Meghan posted a list of 16 Christmas songs alongside a video with footage containing outtakes from her lifestyle series ‘With Love, Meghan’.
Alongside the clip, Meghan wrote: “All the sounds of the season. Here is my personal list of favourite holiday songs on rotation in our home this time of year. Wishing you a safe and cozy Christmas! Enjoy!”
Royal fans, however, are not convinced by her choice, which has included ‘Ole Santa’ by jazz legend Dinah Washington, and ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ by Ray Charles. One believed it should be more inclusive for children. They wrote: “She’s supposed to have small children. Where are the children’s Christmas songs? Frosty The Snowman, Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer?”
Another critic on social media posted a sarcastic emoji with the comment: “That playlist sparks joy in every 4 & 6 year old at Christmas.”
Another said: “If her children and Harry have to listen to that, they will go mad.”
One wrote: “Not 1 children’s song in the mix. No Rudolph. No Santa. No Frosty.”
A social media user, simply said: “Not ONE CHILDREN’S THEMED SONG. NOT ONE.”
Meghan’s posted playlist opened with ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ by Norah Jones and Laufey, followed by ‘Winter Wonderland’ by Ella Fitzgerald and ‘Looks Like a Cold Cold Winter’ by Ingrid Michaelson.
In her video, Meghan was seen pouring drinks, slicing meats, whisking an egg and writing on a chalkboard.
It is thought Meghan and Prince Harry will be spending a quiet Christmas in Montecito with their two kids, Prince Archie, six, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet.
It means it will be the seventh year that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been missing from the Royal Family festivities at the Sandringham Estate as the family feud rumbles on.
Harry was once a key member of the family included in the traditional walk to the St Mary Magdalene Church service, but the pair have been absent from the family occasion.
