The youngest of Donald Trump’s children has had to put up with interest not just in his studies but also in his love life.

Following Barron’s enrollment at New York University (NYU) in late 2024, reports began to circulate that he was seeing a fellow student. In 2025, gossip outlets like Page Six claimed Barron “booked an entire floor” of Trump Tower for a private date. While Eric Trump joked about giving Barron “PG-13” dating advice, the family never officially confirmed the reports. In late 2025, a bizarre rumour claimed Barron was dating an Argentine ballroom dancer named Carlos. However, this was later debunked as a social media hoax. However, now a new narrative is emerging.

According to British-American journalist and gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Barron has quietly reunited with his girlfriend after a breakup that had left him heartbroken.

“Barron ended a relationship in November that he genuinely thought would last,” a source told the journalist. “They were approaching their one-year anniversary in January, and that mattered to him.”

The romance was reportedly kept intentionally private to protect both of them: “They stayed in the shadows on purpose,” the source said. “It wasn’t about attention — it was about protecting something real.” The source added that currently, the pair are “both regrouping: “There’s no bitterness — just the continuation of something that clearly matters to both of them.”

The idea – which is now trending among MAGA supporters on social media – claims this “royal union” between Barron, 19 and Isabella, 18, would easily solve Trump’s long-standing ambition to acquire the territory. Social media users have even put together AI-generated images of Princess Isabella in a wedding dress and veil, standing next to Barron, who is in a tuxedo.

One social media user said: “So… should Barron Trump marry Denmark’s Princess Isabella and Greenland come to America as the dowry? Because honestly, that sounds like the easiest diplomatic deal ever”. However, not all were on board with the union, with one joking: “He’s too tall for her”.

On Wednesday, President Trump made several high-profile comments regarding his intent to acquire Greenland while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos. During his speech, the US president intensified his rhetoric about annexing Greenland while simultaneously ruling out the use of military force – a possibility he had previously refused to dismiss.

“I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force,” he said. “All the US is asking for is a place called Greenland,” before adding that if Denmark and the European allies say yes, the US will be “very appreciative,” but if they say no, he “will remember”.
