With Bridgerton fans excitedly bingeing the first half of season four, which just dropped on Netflix, many will no doubt be interested in visiting some of the dreamy locations where the drama was filmed.

While many fans will visit its filming locations for the day, hardcore Bridgerton fans can go a step further and book an overnight stay in one of the show’s castles, giving them the chance to fulfill their Regency-themed fantasies. According to Quotezone, which put together the list for Bridgerton fans, there are various staycations available in the period properties featured on the show, and there’s one that’s particularly iconic.

If you’ve always felt like dropping in on the Duke and Duchess of Hastings at Clyvedon Castle, now you can. The filming location, Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, offers both day visits and overnight stays, and has extensive information on filming Bridgerton on its website, pinpointing the exact locations used.

This lavish castle dates back to the 16th century and is as grand on the inside as it is on the outside. Bridgerton fans will no doubt recognise its grand entrance and the walled garden, which was the site of the famous scene where Daphne punches Lord Nigel.

The castle has a selection of holiday cottages on its grounds, just a short walk from the main house, which includes the charming Beau Repaire, a one-bedroomed cottage that’s perfect for couples and comes with a cosy fireplace. Cottage prices start from £262 per night with a minimum of two nights’ stay required.

In season three, the characters attended Lord Hawkins’ ball at the grand Vanbrugh Hall, and now you can get on the guest list too. The scenes were filmed at Grimsthorpe Castle, which traces its origins back to the 13th century and, over the years, grew into a sprawling estate known for its Tudor and Baroque architecture.

Guests can stay in the unique Summer Folly from £248.75 a night, giving them a little castle of their own to enjoy. Visitors who stay overnight enjoy unlimited access to Grimsthorpe Castle, so you can see where the ball took place, as well as its vast gardens and parkland, where you might spot wild deer.

If you’re willing to blow your budget, you can stay at Hampton Court Palace, which has been used as a filming location several times. It was also used in the spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story as the queen’s palace. Filming spots include The Great Fountain Garden, where Colin and Eloise were seen taking a stroll in season three, and Fountain Court, which was used for exterior shots.

However, living like Queen Charlotte isn’t cheap. Staying at the palace’s Georgian House starts at £486, with minimum bookings of three nights. However, the house sleeps up to eight people, so it’s perfect for groups who want to get together and enjoy a binge watching session.
