Get £200 worth of fragrance for £59.99 in OK! Beauty Box

Beauty boxes can be great for people who are really into skincare and makeup, but shoppers who are more into fragrance often feel left out, as dedicated scent sets are rarer to come by. If you’re after something for a fragrance enthusiast in your life, but want to go beyond a simple discovery set, the editors at OK! Beauty Box have curated an edit specifically for those who want to explore scent beyond fragrance, with £200-worth of products for the body, hair, lips and beyond.

The Scent Discovery Edit costs £59.99 and includes eight products – five full-size – from brands like Vera Wang, Aromatherapy Associates and Ful. There are body oils, mini perfume sprays from niche brands, lip and hair products, and even a scented candle, which would collectively cost over £200 if bought separately. This means that the box can save shoppers around 70% on the total value of its contents.

If you can’t get enough of new scents, this edit is a great way to explore new combinations while indulging in some luxurious products, and maybe discovering some new favourites along the way. What I love about it is that it goes beyond the discovery set concept, which usually leaves recipients with more fragrance samples than they need.

This one has something to suit every taste, with carefully selected products that cover many different scent profiles, from fresh and floral to warm and woody. At the same time, there’s a generous selection of products you’ll actually use rather than just collect, like body oils, a lip balm, and even a hair styling product. And every single component smells great.

This doesn’t mean there are no fragrances in the edit – in fact, there are three. One is a fresh and floral body mist from Vera Wang, which has notes of pear blossom, bergamot and green tea. As it’s a body mist, it’s a great option for fans of lighter scents, and perfect for quick touch-ups to freshen up after the gym or at work.

There are also two mini sprays from niche perfume brands, which can be nice for those in the market or a new scent. If you’re looking for something for special occasions, there is a travel-size spray of Avant’s Pure Emerald eau de parfum. Its top notes of cotton candy and caramelised apple put it in the gourmand scent family, which includes perfumes that smell like confections. It also has middle notes of vanilla and rose, and a base of patchouli, musk and cedar to ground it.

This could make a great evening scent, and fans are calling it “delicious”. One review said: “It smells divine. Sweet apples and cotton candy are delicious.”

If you prefer warm, woody scents, there is also a travel-sized spray of Sentier’s Fernway eau de toilette, which fans say “smells amazing”. This is a sharper, fresher scent, which opens with top notes of bergamot and orange, over a middle of incense, amber and tonka bean, and a base of musk and woods. This is a unisex scent, which makes it perfect for gifting.

If you need something beyond coffee to energise you in the morning, the box includes a fragrant body oil from Aromatherapy Associates, normally worth £62. This is the most expensive product in the edit, and is so popular it’s out of stock at the brand’s website. It comes in the herbal, citrusy Revive scent, which is made from nourishing linseed, jojoba and peach kernel oils, and fragranced with a blend of grapefruit, rosemary and juniper essential oils.

The brand says the oil can help revitalise tired, stiff muscles, and suggests massaging it into damp skin to lock in moisture. As it’s an oil, the scent will stay on your skin for longer, making it a great base for those experimenting with scent layering.

A fan of the body oil wrote: “This is the best body oil ever, I keep trying others which are cheaper, but this one is by far the most luxurious, it’s moisturising without being greasy, it smells incredible, it’s easily absorbed and leaves skin feeling amazing.”

To add an extra touch of luxury to your bathing routine, there is also a block of Grüum’s Skira Melting Sleep Butter, a solid body butter that can be used in the bath or directly on the skin. Another citrusy treat, this one has chamomile, coconut, lime and orange, and is meant to help calm and soothe your body and mind before bed. The brand says it can be used to massage damp skin in the shower, but it’s mainly meant for the bath: simply break off a piece and let it melt in warm water to transform it into a luxurious bath oil.

But it doesn’t stop there, as the ritual can’t be complete without a scented candle. The edit includes a mini candle from Disciple, promising 15 hours of burn time, in the scent Cerise Noire, with notes of cherry, patchouli and leather. Black cherry is a very trendy scent right now, and it’s great for adding a special touch to your space while avoiding typical florals.

The last two fruity treats in the edit are for your hair and lips.

There is a Ful styling spray that smells of raspberry, peach and rose, and promises to smooth frizz, boost shine and add volume with heat protection up to 200 degrees. One Boots shopper gave it a five-star review, saying: ” I bought this to give my hair a bit more volume, and it’s definitely done the trick! It does all the other stuff really well, too, like reducing frizz and keeping my hair soft, and it just smells fantastic!!! It’s my new favourite hair product!”

Last but not least, a delicious lip balm is a must for fans of nice scents, especially in winter when you have to keep reapplying. The edit includes a balm from Mudmasky with a zesty scent of limoncello and sweet orange – just make sure not to eat it!
