Germany: Schoolchildren rushed to hospital after ‘mass casualty incident’ | World | News
Several school pupils were taken to hospital after pepper spray was used in a primary school in Germany. Eight ambulances and five emergency doctors rushed to the spot at the primary school in the German town of Hürth in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis district.
A total of 49 children were examined by the emergeny workers, out of which 19 were found to have suffered injuries in the incident involving tear gas. Other 12 were immediately rushed to the hospital for further treatement, it ahs been reported. The area has been cordoned off by the police as they continue with the investigation, reports Mirror Online.
According to the reports, the building was evacuated as fire crews guided children and staff to safety. According to the fire department, the alarm sounded at around 10:20 am. Eight ambulances were dispatched to the school, and five emergency physicians attended the scene.
