Royal Family LIVE: Beatrice and Eugenie ‘in a state’ after Andrew’s arrest | Royal | News
Donald Trump has spoken for the first time about the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. Addressing reporters on the Air Force One, the US President said on Thursday evening: “I think it’s very sad. I think it’s so bad for the Royal Family.
“It’s very, very sad. To me, it’s a very sad thing.” Mr Trump went on to praise King Charles as a “fantastic” person “who’s obviously coming to our country very soon.” Mr Trump’s comment comes hours after the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on Thursday morning.
The former prince and brother of King Charles left Aylsham police station in Norfolk on Thursday evening, and was pictured seemingly slouched in the back of a vehicle.
