Trump health fears as US President ‘struggles to walk up steps’ | World | News
Fears for Donald Trump’s health have reignited as he seemingly struggled to walk up two steps during a White House ceremony. The US President hosted an Angel Family Members event to honour those killed by undocumented migrants, during which he appeared confused and dazed.
While sitting in the audience, he was seen whispering to Border Czar Tom Homan before suddenly standing up and looking around the room, perhaps not knowing what to do next. He said “thank you” multiple times to those in attendance and made his way to the podium. To tackle two small steps, Mr Trump looks down at them, taps his right leg, and grabs onto the podium with his right hand. Once up there, he doesn’t say anything into the microphone but rather starts applauding the room.
Applause continues to ring out as the guests appear unsure if this marks the end of the ceremony, before the president “wanders away” and the doors at the back of the room close.
Political commentator Jack Cocchiarella asked: “Was this uhhhhhh supposed to happen?”
One person joked on X: “Who left their grandpa unattended at this event?”
Another said: “Didn’t want to fall asleep again.”
Mr Trump has attempted to calm any health fears, insisting he has “aced” various cognitive tests.

People also pointed to appeared to be Trump’s bruised hand covered in heavy make-up, with journalist Aaron Rupar saying: “Trump’s hand is looking NASTY today”. Another X user commented: “His make up artist must be colour blind.”
Someone else joked: “He played some rough hockey today beating the Canadians and won a gold medal, which explains the hand’s condition.”
He said: “I clipped it on the table. I put a little – what do they call it? cream on it. But I clipped it. I would say, take aspirin if you like your heart, but don’t take aspirin if you don’t want to have a little bruising.
“I take the big aspirin, and when you take the big aspirin, they tell you, you bruise. The doctor said, ‘You don’t have to take that, sir, you’re very healthy.’ I said, ‘I’m not taking any chances.'”
