UK landscaping business falls into liquidation – in business since 2019 | UK | News

A UK landscaping company has gone into liquidation after seven years in business. A notice was published in the London Gazette this morning, the UK’s official public record newspaper, where liquidation and administration notices are published. It revealed that Garden Science Limited entered Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation, a process whereby directors and shareholders collectively decide to dissolve a business to sell off its assets and pay back its debts.

Rikki Burton and Jasmine Baxter of Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited have been appointed as joint liquidators. The business has been in operation since 2019, according to Companies House, the UK’s official database for limited companies. Garden Science Limited has a registered office address at 1st Floor, Fairclough House, Church Street, Chorley, Lancashire. However, its principal trading address is listed as 12b Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, Essex.

According to the company’s website, it offers an array of landscaping services. Its founder, Paul Wilkins, previously worked on various European golf courses in construction and maintenance, and later earned a Certificate in Turf Grass Science from Penn State University.

Following this, he returned to the UK and started Garden Science Limited. “Offering Commercial and Domestic Grounds and Garden Maintenance, we have steadily grown our presence working with various high-profile property management businesses and property owners alike, proudly providing a high-quality service where our attention to detail on every job has ensured the business continues to grow,” its website reads.

Landscaping is a large part of the business, but there are also other offerings, including living walls and living pictures. These are walls and pictures made of plants and leaves, adding an element of nature to a wall space.

When it comes to landscaping, the company says it offers a variety of services, including leaf clearing, garden maintenance, mowing, trimming, weed control, one-off cleans and hedge cutting.

“Our aim is to keep our customers’ gardens looking great all year round, whether part of a treatment plan or one-off service, we can create a landscaping service geared to your specific requirements,” it says.

Several businesses have fallen into liquidation in the past few days. According to the Gazette, these include Coastal Construction, based in Heacham, Norfolk, which faced legal action from Premier League football club Norwich City.
