Co-op launches new bargain Easter roast deal for £5 | Personal Finance | Finance
Co-op’s new £5 deal will save shoppers a considerable amount this Easter. In a couple of weeks, many British families will be gathering to spend Easter Sunday together. Many will enjoy a succulent roast dinner, followed by plenty of Easter chocolate and decadent desserts. While many supermarkets offer attractive Easter deals, The Co-op is offering a particularly affordable option. Its latest online-exclusive bundle offers an Easter dinner bundle for just £5 for Co-op members and £5.85 for non-members.
The bundle includes a British chicken, British baby potatoes, British carrots and Yorkshire puddings. All in, it costs £1.25 per head. By using code ROASTDEAL at the online checkout, shoppers can get the deal from March 25 to April 14 (inclusive). The deal is available through its same-day delivery online platform shop.coop.co.uk.
Co-op revealed that the bundle saves shoppers £3.62. Rachel Halter, Co-op’s customer director, said: “Providing our shoppers with high-quality British products at a great price is what we pride ourselves on, and this online exclusive offer really hits the spot.
“At £1.25 per head for our members, there is no compromise on quality or value, and buying it as a bundle makes it super convenient, as a stress-free mid-week treat or a Sunday roast.”
It is £5 for members and £5.85 for non-members. It costs £1 to become a member, and customers who sign up get a host of discounts in-store and online.
The deal does not include stores owned and run by independent societies, Midcounties, Central England, Southern, or Chelmsford Star Co-operatives, some Co-op franchise stores, or non-Co-op branded stores, such as Nisa.
Several other supermarkets have launched deals and special Easter ranges ahead of the big day. Aldi has said it is keeping prices down on dinner essentials such as British Pork Loin Joint (£3.75 per kg), British Prime Gammon Joint (£3.99 per kg) and Whole Legs of Lamb (£6.19 per kg).
The budget supermarket also promised customers that it will not be beaten on the price of Easter vegetables like carrots, parsnips and white potatoes.
