Aldi’s device is alternative to ironing but shoppers have to be quick | UK | News

Aldi’s new steamer promises to be an easy and hassle-free alternative to ironing. But customers need to act fast because this is a Specialbuys product, meaning that it will only be available in Aldi stores while stocks last and once it’s gone, it’s gone. The steamer is priced at £16.99 and arrived in Aldi stores this week as part of the supermarket’s Spring Clean sale.

Steaming is an alternative to ironing that many people find easy. Plus, it does not need an ironing board, so it is useful when it comes to saving space in your home. Steamers are becoming increasingly popular for Brits as they become more widely available. Retailers like Amazon sell a number of clothes steamers that prove popular for customers, and can often be purchased at relatively reasonable prices.

The new Aldi handheld steamer will “eliminate wrinkles” in clothes, the supermarket says.

It features a brush attachment and can be folded after use, so you can store it much easier. It can also be brought on your travels so that you can keep clothes that have been squeezed into a suitcase crease-free before wearing them on holiday.

The product also promises to get rid of these creases in just seconds.

The retailer also recently introduced a new steaming/ironing blanket which can be layed out on any surface in a home. The mat costs £7.99 and creates a handy place for customers to iron or steam their clothes.

After use, it can be folded or rolled up to be stored.

According to The Laundress, steaming has a number of benefits including killing germs on clothes, freshening items between washes and working especially well for suits and blazers.
