All Apple-made Beats earbuds are on sale, starting at just £59

If you like the look of AirPods but don’t like the look or the price, the good news is there are several other Apple-made earbuds you can get instead from the firm’s Beats brand – and right now, every single model is on sale over at Amazon.

From the Beats Solo Buds right up to the premium Beats Powerbeats Pro 2, every current pair of Beats is discounted as part of Amazon’s Spring Deal Days event, with the cheapest pair going for a wallet-friendly £59.

That is for the Beats Solo Buds, which normally cost £79.99. These earbuds, which I have tested, pack a real punch despite their price with a good in-ear fit and the signature punchy bass Beats is known for.

Note they do not have any active noise cancellation (ANC) tech, and the case has to be plugged into a charger to charge the buds up, unlike most earbud cases that themselves hold a charge – but that is offset by the genuinely amazing 18 hour battery life.

If you want a similar wireless experience but with the now lesser-spotted neckbud design, the Beats Flex are currently £45, down from £69.99. They’re great for thrashing in the gym, and are preferable to earbuds if you are prone to misplacing your tiny tech.

If you want better sound and full ANC with excellent transparency mode, the Beats Studio Buds Plus are now reduced to a phenomenally good £99, down from £179.99. I’ve also tested these earbuds, and for £99, they’re the best way to get near-to AirPods Pro quality audio and ANC for far, far less spend.

Both these sets of earbuds pair nicely with Android phones too, but Studio Buds Plus features such as automatic switching between devices and personalised spatial audio, which are for iPhone owners only.

In a similar way, the newest Beats earbuds, the Beats Powerbeats Fit, are on sale for £179, a decent 10 percent discount of £199.95. When I tried them out, I found them a good upgrade on the discontinued Beats Fit Pro, thanks to better designed wing tips. These sit in the folds of your ears and stop them falling out.

They’re designed for runners and other exercising, as they’re far more secure than wireless earbuds without wing tips. The sound is a slight level below the Studio Buds Plus, but otherwise the Powerbeats Fit have 30 hours of battery life with the charging case, which is pocketable, they’re sweat and water resistant, and iPhone owners get those audio perks you’ll find in AirPods.

If you want to save 26 percent at the top of the Beats range, the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 are now £184 if you go for the Hyper Purple colour. That’s no pocket change, but it’s a better price than the £249.99 RRP. If you don’t like the idea of wing tips, these earbuds have over-ear hooks – they simply stay in and do not budge.

Beats took years to update the original Powerbeats Pro, but these fit the bill, particularly in the fun Electric Orange colour (on sale for £199). They even have heart rate monitors in each bud – so use the Workout app on your iPhone when running, and you might be able to get enough data for your runs without the need for an Apple Watch or other sports watch.

ANC and transparency mode are both present, as is the sweat and water resistance and 45 hours of battery when you use the fully charged case, which itself (finally) has wireless charging. They’re a premium option, but they should last.
