Alton Towers Bluey ride opening date confirmed for March 2026 | UK | Travel

Parents with young children will undoubtedly recognise the familiar calls of “Mum! Dad! Bingo! Bluey!” echoing from their television screens multiple times each day. The Australian animated series Bluey has captivated pre-schoolers globally, and the Heeler family are now preparing to launch their own attraction at Alton Towers.

Bluey has secured its position as CBeebies’ most-watched programme in Britain, accumulating over one billion views on BBC iPlayer, and shortly enthusiasts will experience Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!

within Alton Towers’ beloved CBeebies Land section. Celebrating the date announcement, an enormous portrait of Bluey was revealed, constructed from more than 11,000 tins of beans – a staple food of grannies Janet and Rita.

“Seeing this fantastic on-screen detail brought to life in such an imaginative way, truly celebrates the countdown to the opening of Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! at CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort.”

Natasha further revealed that Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! has been purposefully crafted for pre-schoolers and young families, transporting visitors on an adventure through Bluey’s back garden.

CBeebies Land currently features existing Bluey attractions including live performances within the Big Fun Showtime area, complemented by meet-and-greet sessions with the family where enthusiasts can capture photographs with their beloved characters.

Alton Towers has also announced they’re introducing additional Bluey-inspired accommodation to its CBeebies Land Hotel, enabling visitors to experience a Bluey-themed overnight stay. Current Bluey accommodation is designed around the vibrant Heeler residence and includes a separate children’s sleeping space with bunkbeds and décor that mirrors Bingo and Bluey’s shared bedroom perfectly. The bathroom also showcases a bright Bluey motif.

Families requiring more room can reserve suites accommodating seven people, and beyond the children’s sleeping quarters, there’s a generous playroom-style space where youngsters can imagine they’re visiting the Heeler household. CBeebies Land Hotel additionally provides child-friendly activities, evening entertainment, and buffet breakfasts.
