Andrew will not move to ‘shoe-box’ as expert gives 11-word verdict | Royal | News

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror that the home is “not quite as out in the cold as it may seem”.

Ms Bond added: “Marsh Farm appears to be a perfectly pleasant old farmhouse, set in its own grounds. Apparently, it will need a fair bit of work, but if that’s true, it will undoubtedly be done at the King’s own expense.”

Marsh Farm is situated approximately seven miles from Sandringham House and is also located near the secluded Wood Farm property that was much-loved by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Speaking of the location of the new home, Ms Bond claims that Andrew is “totally familiar” with the surroundings of Marsh Farm.

Ms Bond also added that he won’t be isolated in his new residence, having been a frequent presence on the estate throughout his life.

She added: “He spent many childhood days playing on the estate, sometimes with Diana, the late Princess of Wales and as an adult he has spent numerous holidays there. And I’m sure he has friends in the area. So it’s not quite as ‘out in the cold’ as it may seem.”
