Argos is handing out high-end Beats headphones for less than half price
Of all the tech purchases, a great set of over-ear headphones is surely one of the best quality of life upgrades you can make. In 2026 we are certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to premium wireless headphones, but many brands charge an arm and a leg for the privilege.
Not so at Argos, where you can currently pick up the Beats Studio Pro for £159, which is less than half their usual £349.95 RRP. At the time of writing, they were listed for full price on the Beats website, so Argos really has a great deal here.
These capable wireless cans are Beats’ top of the line model, boasting active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency mode so you can alternatively hear the world around you when wearing them, up to 40 hours of battery life and a folding design so you can easier lug them about in a bag when not in use.
The headphones, which I have tested extensively, also offer lossless audio via the included USB-C cable. This lets you listen at lossless quality over a cable connected to a compatible device, such as a laptop or Android phone.
While I don’t think the sound quality on these Beats is as good as the Sony WH-1000XM6 or Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, for this sale price, the Studio Pro are a very solid buy. The soundstage is good, with the great bass response you’d expect from Beats via custom-made 40mm active drivers, plus personalised spatial audio when you’re connected to an Apple device such as an iPhone or iPad.

Even though Beats are made by Apple, Android users can also enjoy most of the same features, including fast pairing and Find My Device for locating them if you misplace them.
Though the Beats Studio Pro come in a variety of colours, the only one for sale for the low £159 price is the black model. Luckily they look slick, with a matte plastic finish and silver metal details.
One earcup has buttons cleverly hidden in the ‘b’ design to play, pause and control the volume, and leather ear cushions should mean you can wear these for a while without needing a break – though it’s worth noting that at least with my ears, the Srudio Pro are more on the ear than totally over it as the earcups are smaller than some rivals.
It’s not stated when this excellent deal will end, so if you want to pick up some great Beats headphones for less than half price, now’s the time.
