Beatrice’s husband’s birthday post is special for very sweet reason | Royal | News
Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took to Instagram to wish her a happy birthday on Friday. The royal, the eldest of Prince Andrew’s two daughters, celebrated her 37th birthday on August 8.
Alongside a picture of Beatrice – who doesn’t have own Instagram – at Royal Ascot back in June, Edoardo, 41, wrote: “Happy Birthday to my BEAUTIFUL wife. You are the greatest. We love you so much. E,W,S,A xxxx”, followed by three emojis including the heart-eyed emoji. Following his initial of ‘E’, Edoardo also followed the sweet message with three other initials that represented their children.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, share two daughters – three-year-old Sienna and seven-month-old Athena. Beatrice is also a proud step-mum to his nine-year-old son Wolfie.
With the couple having welcomed their second daughter back in January, Beatrice’s birthday this year was extra special as it was her first as a mum of two.
Joining big sister Sienna, 3, and Wolfie, Athena was born prematurely on January 22.
The young royal made her debut earlier this month as the family were spotted at the Lionesses’ victory parade after their Euro 2025 win.
Beatrice previously spoke of Athena’s early arrival, sharing with HELLO! that she endured “months of sheer worry”.
She told the publication: “Nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early. There’s so little control.
“The uncertainty leaves you with an overwhelming fear of the unknown.”
Beatrice was also able to experience motherhood for the first time alongside her sister Princess Eugenie who, just a few months before the birth of Sienna, welcomed her son August in February 2021.
