Black Ops 7 early access – Can fans play new Call of Duty early | Gaming | Entertainment

The days are counting down to the much-anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Gamers can’t wait to jump head first into its iconic multiplayer mode, the terrifying zombies, and of course the single player campaign on November 14. So much so they are wondering whether there will be any form of early access like in previous years.

Getting to play the beloved first-person shooter early isn’t out of the realm of possibility, as previous installments have offered something similar. Other games, like EA Sports FC 26, offer a week of early access for those who pre-order the most expensive edition. Is that the case with the new Call of Duty? Here’s everything you need to know.

Can I play Black Ops 7 early?

Recent reports suggested the $100 Vault Edition would surprise players with 72 hours of early access from November 11.

Unfortunately, however, developers were quick to rubbish these claims, leading to an amendment being made that removes any mention of playing the game early.

Activision and Treyarch have officially confirmed that there will be no Black Ops 7 early access, and that it will launch the same time for everyone on November 14, no matter what edition fans purchase.

So bad news COD fans, you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer to give the new game a try.

In fact, the only way you can play early is if you follow this simple trick.

How to pre-order Black Ops 7

If for whatever reason you haven’t already, the new Call of Duty is available to pre-order right now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There are two different editions:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Standard Edition / Cross-Gen Bundle (£69.99): Base version of the game for current and last gen consoles, as well as PC. Included access to the now closed beta, and the Reznov Challenge Pack
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Vault Edition (£99.99): Includes all content from the Standard Edition, plus BlackCell (1 season) with Battle Pass, 20 Tier Skips, Operator Collection, Mastercraft Collection, Ultra GobbleGum Pack, Permanent Unlock Token

The different versions are available to buy on the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, as well as Steam and Battle.net. If you are a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, then Black Ops 7 will be available to play as part of your subscription from launch day.
