Brazen high street stabbing leaves man, 22, dead | UK | News

Two arrests have been made after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in North London.

A 22-year-old man and woman, aged 21, were arrested in connection with the incident, with officers hauling the pair into custody from the same address in Harrow.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder and she was arrested under suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in police custody.

Officers rushed to High Road in Wembley on Monday at 12.55pm  following reports of a stabbing. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital where he later died, the Met said.

Metropolitan Police Homicide Command detective chief inspector Paul Waller thanked the grieving community for its help in finding those who are allegedly responsible for the brazen Wembley stabbing on Monday.

“We are grateful for the help we have already received from the local community and while we are not looking for anyone else in

relation to this matter, I would encourage those who have not yet spoken to police to come forward as soon as possible,” DCI

Waller said.

Metropolitan Police Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing for the area said: “We know this murder has

caused shock and concern for residents and our officers are here to support those who live and work in the area.

“There will be an increased police presence at a number of locations please do speak to these officers if you have any worries or issues. You can also speak directly to local ward officers by signing up to and using Met Engage.”

He then expressed his condolences to the family of the 22-year-old victim.

“Our thoughts of course remain with the victim’s loved ones at this difficult time, and our specialist officers will continue to support them.”
