Brits can soon book into a lounge with a full spa in UK airport | Travel News | Travel
A new lounge is set to open in a major UK airport next year, featuring a luxurious, dedicated spa with relaxation areas and a fine dining restaurant.
Air France has announced that in spring 2026, it will welcome a new lounge in Terminal four of London Heathrow Airport. The airline already operates seven flights a day from Heathrow, with the exclusive haven set to enhance the experience for its loyal customers.
The spacious 750-square-metre lounge, accommodating around 150 seats, will provide travellers with access to dining areas showcasing exquisite French cuisine, along with a sizeable bar stocked with a refined selection of French wines and champagnes.
For those looking to unwind before their flight, there will even be a dedicated spa and relaxation areas, along with a workspace (although we’d pick the spa over work!).
Air France claims that the new lounge will provide customers with a tranquil spot before boarding or during layovers. The oasis will be available to the airlines La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible passengers flying with KLM and SkyTeam partner airlines.
The airline already operates up to seven daily flights between Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. However, from 29 March 2026, Air France will introduce two daily flights between London Gatwick Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
The additional services are designed to enhance connectivity through the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub to Air France’s global network of destinations.
Alongside routes to and from Gatwick, the airline will also roll out “special” services between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Cardiff in February 2026, for the Six Nations rugby championship. It also coincides with Valentine’s Day weekend for those in Wales looking to visit the French ‘city of love’ for the occasion.
Between February 13 to 16, Air France will operate 12 flights between Paris-Charles De Gaulle and Cardiff. The airline has launched this special route to facilitate efficient travel for French and international rugby fans heading to Wales to spectate at one of the biggest sporting tournaments of the year.
In response to the additional flights between Cardiff and Paris, Cardiff Airport CEO Jon Bridge said: “We’re thrilled to offer direct flights to such a vibrant and exciting city for Valentine’s weekend. Cardiff Airport is expanding its reach and giving customers fantastic travel options. We’ve listened to passenger demand and are delighted to make this opportunity possible. There is more to come from Cardiff.”
