Moises Caicedo has refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid, while remaining focused on his immediate future at Chelsea. The Blues midfielder joins Enzo Fernandez in responding to the prospect of a switch to the Spanish capital, with Caicedo specifically quizzed on whether he can “imagine himself in white” during an interview with AS.
‘Grinning throughout’, according to the Spanish publication, he said: “You never know in football, don’t you think? I have a contract with Chelsea now. The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football.

“All I want is to enjoy myself. I have a contract and I want to keep playing as long as God allows. After that, we’ll see what happens. I have a contract, but we’ll see what the future holds. Let’s see what surprises await us.”
Caicedo remains tied to the west London outfit for the next five years, making any imminent departure particularly difficult to envisage.
Fernandez has similarly spoken about potentially joining Real Madrid down the line, following earlier remarks that raised questions over his long-term commitment to Stamford Bridge.
Liam Rosenior subsequently confirmed on Friday that he would be unavailable for Chelsea’s next two fixtures, against Port Vale in the FA Cup and Manchester City in the Premier League.
He said: “We spoke with Enzo an hour ago. As a football club, with me as part of that process, we’ve made a decision. He won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and he won’t be available for Manchester City on Sunday.

“I think for Enzo, it’s disappointing to speak in that way. What I will say about Enzo is in terms of him as a character, as a person, I’ve got no bad words to say about him.But I think a line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build. So we had to make a sanction and that was a decision we’ve made.”
Marc Cucurella also made some contentious remarks during the fortnight-long domestic break, with the Spaniard acknowledging he would not have dismissed Enzo Maresca. Rosenior subsequently confirmed he had also held discussions with Cucurella, though he would remain available for the next two fixtures, injury permitting.
Disciplinary matters were not the sole subject addressed at Rosenior’s press conference, with the Blues manager providing fitness updates on four players.
Rosenior said: “He [James] is getting along really well, but not ready yet. Trevoh’s [Chalobah] progressing really, really well as well. Levi [Colwill], it’s really good to have him back in full training, but it’s going to take a few more weeks.
“He needs to tick those boxes. But no, we’ve got a pretty fresh group. Estevao, Jamie Gittens is back, which is really positive going into the run.”
