If you own an iPhone, now is a good time to check your settings and download the latest iOS update from Apple. The US technology giant has confirmed the release of iOS 26.2, which comes packed with changes, including additional Lock Screen customisation, setting alarms for Reminders and an update to AirDrop, which lets you generate a code to make things more secure.

Apple Music gets changes, including offline lyrics, so you can sing along without an internet connection, and Podcasts now automatically generate chapters, making it easier to navigate episodes.

To check this blockbuster release on your iPhone, simply head to Settings – General – Software Update. You should then see the iOS 26.2. It’s a massive 12GB download, so make sure you’re connected to the web before attempting to install it.

These new features are not the only reason to download iOS 26,2. Apple has also confirmed that it fixes a number of security issues and bugs.

That means it’s recommended that all users install it without delay.

“This update includes enhancements to Apple Music, Podcasts and Games, as well as other features, bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone,” Apple confirmed.
