EuroMillions winner who won £1million prize has just one week left to claim it | UK | News
A mystery EuroMillions ticket holder is on the brink of missing out on a £1 million fortune, with just one week left to claim the prize they scooped in this year’s Valentine’s Day draw. One final search is on to find the lucky punter after the ticket was purchased in Liverpool, bearing the winning UK Millionaire Maker code TVXM 66825.
The winner has until Wednesday, August 13, to come forward and claim their windfall.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, commented: “We are rapidly approaching the deadline to claim this amazing EuroMillions prize, but we’ve not yet been contacted by the rightful ticketholder to claim their money, despite numerous appeals.
“There is still time though, but time is short with just one week left for this ticketholder to get in touch.
“We’ve received valid claims on major National Lottery unclaimed prizes right up to the very last minute before.”
“All that we ask is for all EuroMillions players to take some time out of their day to have a search and check their tickets. That five minutes out of your day could end up making you a millionaire.
“It would have been very chilly at the time the ticket was bought, so check your coat pockets.
“Do you live or work in this area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting a loved one on Valentine’s Day and stopped at a shop on the way?”.
“We are ready and waiting with the champagne on ice for that life-changing phone call to come in to us here at The National Lottery.
“Players can check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also check tickets in retail.
“Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.
“You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.”
The February 14 draw this year created 14 millionaires in a single evening, with this being the sole prize remaining unclaimed.
For each EuroMillions line purchased, UK participants automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket. The same draw also witnessed one fortunate UK ticket holder claim the £65,341,620.50 jackpot that evening.
National Lottery participants have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings should they be successful.
