Named among the 30 most walkable cities in the world for 2024, Stockholm ranked in 8th place as a destination to be discovered on foot.

The Swedish capital boasts a network of well-maintained, pedestrian-friendly streets and pathways, which make wandering around easy and enjoyable, with plenty of room for walking, cycling, and outdoor seating at cafés.

The city is dotted with parks and waterfronts, like Djurgården and Tantolundenm providing inviting spots for relaxation and slow walks away from the crowds.

Walking through Stockholm rewards visitors with stunning views of its archipelago, historic architecture dating as far as the late 13th century, and picturesque canals.

Known for its hip vibe, Södermalm district is filled with trendy boutiques, restaurants, and beautiful viewpoints, such as Monteliusvagen, offering stunning views of the city.
