A new action park, offering “pure adrenaline for every age”, will make its European debut in a UK town this month. Slick City, which has dozens of sites across America, will be opening in Redfield Road, Lenton. Adrenaline junkies will enjoy 16 slides with deep plunges and twists, sending thrill seekers skywards before landing on air-cushioned mats. The action park will also be home to the world’s first UV AirGlider, a gravity-powered aerial coaster that gives riders the sensation of flying. The new 50,000 sq ft attraction, launching in partnership with Activeonsite, will open on March 12, with the creation of 100 new jobs.

There is an appetite for more adventure experiences the whole family can enjoy, as well as people of any age who are looking for an exhilarating day out, so now felt like the perfect time to bring this thrill to the UK.”

Open to all ages, the minimum age is four, and children under 12 need adult supervision.

There is also a dedicated soft play area designed for youngsters aged three and below. Visitors can refuel after a high-energy session at the on-site café, where spectators can relax and take in the action.

More than 95 Slick City sites have opened or are in development across 32 American states.

Sessions run for either 90 minutes or 120 minutes and cost between £19.95 and £24.95 per person. Party packages start from £22.95 per person with the option to upgrade. Reservations can be made online, but walk-in tickets can also be purchased.
