F1 LIVE: Helmut Marko claps back at Toto Wolff as Ecclestone double-crosses Felipe Massa | F1 | Sport
Former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has turned his back on Felipe Massa, insisting that the Brazilian in ‘only in it for the money’.
Earlier this year, Ecclestone claimed that Massa had been ‘cheated’ out of his only F1 world title in 2008 due to the effects of the ‘crashgate’ saga.
“I still feel sorry for Massa today,” he added.
In a marked change of tune since Massa began legal action, Ecclestone has taken a pop at the 42-year-old and believes that he has ‘no chance’ of winning in court.
“The Massa clan is only in it for the money,” Ecclestone told Blick. “But the chances of that are zero.”
