As part of a major £10 million refurbishment, a UK holiday park is now set to open a huge outdoor lido – and the first look has been released.

The Unity Beach Holiday Park in Brean has been undergoing a major renovation of its indoor pool complex and has now announced further plans to enhance its facilities as part of a £10 million project. The Somerset resort has already upgraded its soft play, changing rooms, café, and gym, and now has huge plans for a new lido area.

During the next phase of its refurbishment, the holiday park will welcome an outdoor pool, private cabanas, and an outdoor dining experience as part of its lido. An image shared by Unity Beach Holiday Park shows how the new facilities will look alongside its current water slides and rides, creating a fun-packed, vibrant space perfect for families.

With plans approved, work on the outdoor lido is set to start in the next few weeks, with an opening planned for July 2026 – just in time for the school holidays. There are also plans to welcome a trampoline park, bandstand, boardwalk, landscaped gardens, and a dog agility area, along with an outdoor activity centre where visitors can try their hand at archery, axe throwing, and rifle shooting.

Unity Holidays, which owns the Unity Beach holiday park, has recently undergone a winter refurbishment of its indoor pool complex, which is due to reopen soon. The park has introduced a new reception area with a dedicated buggy park, updated its Wave Café, serving meals throughout the day, and incorporated Unity Play with various soft play zones.

They’ve also revamped their unisex changing rooms, adding large family cubicles that can fit up to 4 people. There are also new vanity units with free hairdryers, 240 poolside lockers, and upgrades to their baby-changing areas, all with a traditional seaside theme.

The park has also installed a new lift and pool hoist and upgraded its accessible changing area as part of its accessibility focus during the £10 million renovation project. The 25-metre pool hall has been fully refurbished, with the addition of poolside showers, and a new indoor Splash Pad is set to replace the baby pool.

Unity Beach Resort Director, Jonny Green, shared: “These are exciting times for our owners, our holidaymakers and the local community.

“Our improved pool facilities will help us sustain and grow participation in swimming lessons and recreational activity – not only for guests staying on the park, but also for the wider community across Somerset.

“Investing in facilities like these also supports local jobs and training, while helping to attract more visitors to the Somerset coast – benefiting the wider local economy.”
