NASCAR star Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and their children Ryder and Emma have tragically lost their lives in a devastating plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina on Thursday, according to a joint statement from the Biffle, Grossu, Dutton, and Lunders families.

The heartbreaking incident also claimed the lives of Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and Craig Wadsworth, who were on board the small private jet owned by Biffle’s company, GB Aviation Leasing LLC.

The ill-fated aircraft seemingly departed the airport just after 10 a.m., bound for Florida, but made a shocking U-turn less than 30 minutes later before crashing upon landing. The families remembered the Biffles as “devoted parents and active philanthropists” in their statement, as they grapple with the immense loss and request privacy during this difficult time.
