Harry to ‘be seen back in UK more in coming years’ as Trump win terrif | Royal | News

An insider has suggested that Brits “can expect to see more of Prince Harry back in Britain in years to come” as Donald Trump‘s shock win in the US Presidential Elections has terrified him and Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex has unwittingly found himself at the centre of a US visa controversy after President incumbent Trump, who just secured a landslide victory in the US election, infamously previously hinted Harry could possibly be deportated after he admitted drug use in his memoir, Spare.

Donald’s son, Eric Trump, previously labelled Harry and Meghan Markle as “spoiled apples” following the row. Meghan had previously praised Kamala Harris, the current Vice President and Democrat who Trump defeated. With the political climate heating up, it’s now bein speculated that Harry will seek solace closer to home and with his family.

After purchasing a coastal home in Portugal this year, which was seen as a longer plan to gradually mend transatlantic relations, the couple might find themselves residing there sooner than planned with their children, Prince Archie, five, and three-year-old Princess Lilibet, if Trump acts on his insinuations and kicks them out of the US.

This comes especially after Harry’s admission in his memoir ‘Spare’ of taking drugs in the US, a move critics have deemed “extremely foolish”.

And now, a royal source has told Richard Eden’s Daily Mail column: “We can expect to see more of Harry back in Britain in years to come.”

This is despite the fact that he and Meghan were stripped of their Frogmore Cottage residence by King Charles last year, reports the Mirror.

The tales divulged in Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ about his experiences with magic mushrooms at a Hollywood bash and using marijuana have stirred up quite the row. In an acerbic chat with GB News last summer, Eric Trump minced no words: “You can happily have those two [Meghan and Harry], we might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own.

“You can have spoiled apples in every orchard. The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.”

Former President Donald Trump famously previousy suggested that Harry, who has called California home since 2020, shouldn’t expect any “special privileges” and might even face deportation if found to have provided false details on his Visa immigration form.

Meghan, having resided in Toronto while shooting for ‘Suits’, had expressed a preference for staying in Canada rather than moving back to the US under Trump’s presidency.

A previous Royal staff member remarked in August about the Sussexes: “It seems quite clear that the Sussexes are desperate to start healing the rift [with the Royal Family].”
