I found the perfect summer dress from Nobody’s Child

Everyone needs that one super reliable summer dress in their wardrobe that is effortlessly gorgeous, easy to style, and works for any occasion. And for me, the Nobody’s Child Starlight Midi Dress is just that.

The celeb-loved brand’s starlight design has long been a bestseller, which is why it’s been reimagined countless times over the years. Characterised by its flattering panelled waist, it now comes in midi and mini lengths with a range of long, short, and sleeveless options, not to mention jumpsuits.

I recently tried on the Green Short-Sleeved Starlight Midi Dress, which is new for the season and perfect for sunny days. Right now, shoppers can get 20% off with the code TREAT20, but only until tonight!

Priced at £85 and available in sizes four to 18, the Starlight is one of Nobody’s Child’s most iconic and recognisable styles. Made from 100% cotton with a textured seersucker finish, it’s lightweight, breathable, and requires little to no ironing, ideal for a low-maintenance, holiday piece.

The A-line skirt skims the body beautifully, offering an effortless, feminine silhouette, and the side seam pockets are a great practical addition to the design. This style, with short puff sleeves, soft gathering, and covered buttons, comes in no fewer than 20 colours and patterns.

This fresh green version feels especially perfect for summer and lends itself to a whole host of occasions, from casual brunches and holiday fits to more formal occasions, like wedding guest wear. We expect to see a lot more of this shade as the weather warms up, with this Cos Twist Detail Maxi Dress, £85, offering another take on a waist-accentuating frock.

The Nobody’s Child dress, though, has a low V-neck that, while beautiful, may mean it’s not quite right for more professional settings. I found that my usual size fit perfectly, just as the brand recommends. However, it’s worth mentioning that it’s not the most bra-friendly design, so you’ll probably want to stick to specific styles like a plunge bra or bralettes.
