Joe Biden enrages Iraq and Syria after strikes on Iranian proxies: ‘Several people killed’ | World | News

Iraq and Syria have warned US President Joe Biden that the US could face retaliation after Washington launched strikes on military targets in the countries.

This comes after three US soldiers were killed by a drone strike on Tower 22 base in Jordan. Iran denied any involvement in the attack but President Biden blamed one of Tehran’s proxies.

As a result, Biden has given the go-ahead for US forces to strike military targets in Iraq and Syria.

He added that this is just the beginning of US efforts to quell terror groups in the region.

Biden said: “This afternoon, at my direction, US military forces struck targets at facilities in Iraq and Syria that the IRGC and affiliated militia use to attack US forces.
