Lookfantastic beauty egg has £205 worth of products for £60
Lookfantastic has re-released its Beauty Egg in time for Easter (which is just over a month away). The beauty egg, as the name suggests, is a seasonal twist on the typical beauty box, offering an egg-shaped vessel filled with beauty products from big-name brands. Granted, it’s a little more pricy than your typical chocolate egg, but it’s a great option if you want to spoil the beauty-lover in your life (or maybe even yourself) this Easter.
The egg showcases some of the premium brands you can buy online at Lookfantastic, including Elemis, Medik8 and Anastasia Beverly Hills. However, it’s a great way to get a selection of beauty items for a cut of the regular price. Lookfantastic claims that the products inside are worth a whopping total of £205 – yet the egg offers a saving of £145 when you buy it for £60.
That works out to roughly £8.50 per product. The egg includes a travel size of the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream, which usually retails for £43. It also contains a full-size Medik8 Vitamin C-Tetra Serum, worth £39. For those two products alone, the box offers a considerable saving. But you get five additional products too – four of which are full-size.
Five of the seven products inside the egg are full-sized. They’re also universal, meaning most beauty lovers would use them.
According to the brand, the Medik8 Vitamin C-Tetra Serum, which costs just under £40 to buy individually, can help brighten the skin by incorporating just four drops into your routine each day. Vitamin C is something of a cult skincare ingredient, as it boosts radiance to prep the skin for the spring and summer months. The powerful skincare ingredient also supports collagen production to help with plumpness.
The other full-sized products included in the egg are the Color Wow Money Mist, Rodial Original Lip Oil, ICONIC Baked Highlighter and Anastasia Beverley Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara. So, it’s a good opportunity to try out some premium brands you may not normally invest in.
Although the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Night Cream is only a travel size, it is handy for popping in your bag and still offers brilliant value for money. Despite the smaller size, it’s worth £43 when bought individually. Elemis is known for its hydrating abilities, and according to Elemis, it gets to work overnight. The Sol de Janeiro Delicia Drench Body Butter is also a travel size, but given how popular the brand has become in recent months, it’s a great way to test out the scent and see if this body cream is the one for you. According to the brand, it can nourish and hydrate skin all the way from your shoulders down to your toes.
With a varied range of products and well-known brands, the Lookfantastic Easter Egg is a good way to test out new products without spending a fortune buying them individually (and the products should last much longer than a chocolate egg).
Of course, LookFantastic isn’t the only brand that has released its own festive Easter box. GLOSSYBOX has launched its Easter Egg, though it contains considerably fewer premium brands than the Lookfantastic option. There’s also the Wellness Box from Marks and Spencer which focuses more on self-care, but the value of the Lookfantastic Easter Egg is much higher.
