M60 traffic LIVE: Crash sparks 4 miles of queues and ‘severe delays’ | UK | News
Drivers have been hit by “severe delays” and four miles of traffic on the M60 this morning following a crash. Motorway cameras on the impacted stretch of the motorway show traffic at a virtual standstill.
Two of four lanes are shut on the anticlockwise carriageway at junction three (Cheadle) due to the collision. There is also traffic on the M56 slip road to join the M60. National Highways said there is around four miles of congestion on the approach to the incident, adding 30 minutes to normal journey times. Elsewhere, traffic is also being held on the M60 clockwise at junction 27 for the Portwood roundabout following reports of a separate crash.
The incident on the M60 is causing congestion on the M56 back to junction 6, and there’s also congestion on the M60 near junction 7 for Stretford.
The Daily Express has contacted Greater Manchester Police for more info.
