Man, 25, dies after stabbing as police launch murder probe | UK | News
A murder investigation has been launched by the police following the tragic death of a man who was stabbed in London. Suleyman Nuh, 25, succumbed to his injuries 11 days after being attacked on Alvanley Gardens, Camden around 4.30pm on Thursday, January 29.
Despite being stabilised at the scene, Suleyman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition due to serious injuries to his neck and leg. He sadly passed away on Monday, February 9.
A 21 year old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder the day after the stabbing, The Mirror reports.
Following Suleyman’s death, the case has now escalated to a murder investigation, with specialist officers providing support to the victim’s family.
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, head of local policing, expressed his condolences to Suleyman’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. He reassured the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is currently no evidence to suggest it was racially motivated.
Increased patrols have been implemented in the area and residents are encouraged to voice any concerns to the officers on duty.
“A 21 year old man has already been charged with attempted murder in relation to this incident. I want to express my thanks to the first responders, who were on the scene within minutes, and the members of the public who did everything they could to save Suleyman’s life.
“Their actions gave his family the opportunity to say goodbye.”
