Luke Shaw’s Instagram post featuring his son sporting a Marcus Rashford shirt has triggered responses from his Manchester United colleagues and Rashford himself. Rashford clearly continues to maintain strong ties with the United squad despite securing a loan switch to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old is currently thriving during his temporary spell, netting five times and providing seven assists across 13 appearances in all competitions after losing his place under Ruben Amorim. His exploits at Camp Nou are being monitored not only by supporters at Old Trafford, but also by Shaw’s son, Reign.

Posting on Instagram, Shaw documented daily glimpses from his routine, featuring a photograph of Reign wearing a Barcelona jersey with ‘Rashford’ on the back, copying the forward’s trademark celebration.

The upload prompted a reaction from Rashford himself, who responded with ‘RS’ accompanied by a heart emoji, thought to reference Shaw’s son, Reign.
