Man visits ‘Benidorm’s oldest diner’ – and price shocks him | Europe | Travel

Discovering a hidden culinary gem is always a thrill, particularly when travelling abroad.

Sometimes, the craving for a hearty meal strikes while on vacation, and nothing satisfies quite like a classic grill. Harry Tokky recently ventured to Spain and stumbled upon what’s touted as Benidorm’s “oldest American restaurant in Benidorm”. leaving him thoroughly wowed.

Before his visit, he was already excited, declaring the place looked “awesome”, and was eager to dive into their offerings. His TikTok review confirms his high expectations were met at Grill House, which is hailed as the “first and best American-themed restaurant” in the beloved holiday spot.

In his video, Harry claimed: “The large menu for a big boy. I’m going to go straight in with a steak pleasure. I feel like a king. Steak pleasure has arrived. We’ve got a pitta, we’ve got the steak in there.”

He also noted: “We’ve got lettuce, we’ve got a bit of everything. We’ve got some fries, we’ve got some coleslaw. Can’t have a pitta without the sauce. That was an extremely good meal. 10/10 from me.”

When it came time to settle the bill, Harry shared the cost with his viewers. The total was €16 (£13.26), which he found “absolutely incredible” for the feast he enjoyed.

The video has since racked up hundreds of views, sparking lively comments about dining experiences in Benidorm. Many were keen to share their thoughts.

One viewer said: “Fantastic food. Service was slow, but they didn’t have many staff when we went.” Another satisfied customer gushed: “I go there every time I visit Benidorm, and have always had a great meal with good value.”

A third chimed in with: “We were there last Thursday. Food was lovely and staff friendly.” Meanwhile, a fourth enthusiast shared: “Love it in there! Usually go at night though for dinner.”

The Grill House, nestled on Avenida Mediterraneo, 33, is perfectly positioned between the Old Town and New Town, surrounded by some of Benidorm’s top live entertainment spots. It’s just a stone’s throw away from Levante beach and the infamous “strip” made famous by the hit British sitcom, Benidorm.
