Interstellar is set in the future, when Earth becomes uninhabitable. It follows a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, who are tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans.

A fan on Rotten Tomatoes said: “This movie is an absolute masterpiece. The acting is as good as it gets, the cinematography and special effects put you right there, living the story. And the score is like deja vu of music you’ve known since long before this lifetime.”

Christopher Nolan wanted Interstellar to remain as close to actual science as possible. 

To achieve this, he joined forces with the 2017 Nobel Prize for Physics winner, Dr. Kip Thorne, on the project.

The film’s score was composed by Hans Zimmer who made the tracks without knowing the plot, focusing instead on the emotions Nolan described.
