Meghan Markle has released a new bookmark for her As Ever brand, but not many fans will be able to get their hands on it after it sold out within one minute. The Duchess of Sussex announced the launch of her new product, which comes with a new phrase on her brand’s Instagram account at around 5.03pm on Friday evening.

But by 5.04pm the product on her website was sold out and not available to add to a basket. The brand said in an Instagram post: ” Our sold out bookmark, now with a new phrase. ‘Hold that thought.’ A reminder that not everything needs to be finished at once. A pause mid-page. Mid-idea. Mid-evening. Launching alongside three thoughtfully curated sets — designed for quiet hours, golden afternoons, and evenings that settle slowly. Available now on AsEver.com”

It is not known if the “sold out” bookmark was a website glitch or not, but at the time of writing, it was still not restocked.

On the website, the now sold-out bookmark is described as a “pause with intention” with the brand saying: “favourite and a reflection of how meaningful small rituals can be. This next edition is crafted to feel timeless in design, slipping effortlessly between the pages and holding your place until you’re ready to continue.”

As Ever also launched three new bundles: the Steep and Steel set, the Golden Hour set and the Heritage Library set.

It comes after a busy few days for the Duchess of Sussex, who joined her husband, Prince Harry, on a two-day pseudo-royal tour in Jordan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to the capital, Amman, on Tuesday for a two-day visit to the Middle Eastern country to highlight the humanitarian efforts by the Jordanian authorities and a range of agencies supporting the health and wellbeing of Syrians and Palestinians who have sought sanctuary in Jordan over the decades.

Harry and Meghan travelled to Jordan at the invitation of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

But some royal watchers were not impressed with the couple’s latest pseudo-royal tour, with one person calling it a “useless exercise”.

Royal News Network, which regularly criticises the Sussexes on X, said in a post: “I still don’t understand why any government or NGO facilitates the delusions of two unemployed adults who have nothing to offer, no money to give and no geopolitical power, beyond an Instagram post and some As ever spread.

“A useless exercise for all involved, but that is the life of Harry and Meghan.

“Also, is it a coincidence that they go to the Middle East after Prince William’s historic visit to Saudi Arabia? No.

“As ever, they’re always desperate to compete with the real royals and look increasingly pathetic every time.”
