Meghan Markle’s childhood recipe Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are now following | Royal | News
Meghan Markle has shared a childhood recipe that she now enjoys with her two children. During episode four of With Love, Meghan, the 43-year-old shared that Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, now enjoy “sun tea”. Speaking of her childhood recipe, Meghan revealed that she “made it as a kid and now makes it” with her children.
The homemade recipe consists of adding a tea bag to a mason jar full of water and leaving it to “sit in the sun” outside. During the eight 30-minute-long episodes, Meghan frequently spoke of Archie and Lilibet – giving fans an insight into their lives living in California. Speaking of her own childhood, Meghan shared that food had a major impact on her life growing up.
In the show, she said: “Some of my favourite childhood moments are the meals that my mom would make. She’d make a lot of soul food. I remember she’d taken a Thai cooking class, so every week we had Thai BBQ chicken and spring rolls.
“I remember those flavours so well, and I want my kids [Archie and Lilibet] to have those same formative memories of things that I cook.
“We call them Mama Meals, and those are the ones that I hope they come back to when they’re older, when they’re married, and they have their own kids, and they go, ‘Oh, let’s have a Mama Meal.’ And it’s the same roast chicken I’ve been making since they were little.”
Although they didn’t feature in the new series, Meghan has included her children in various posts on her Instagram account in recent days.
Earlier today, the Duchess of Sussex took to her official Instagram account to upload a new video showing the whole Sussex family – including Lilibet, Archie and Prince Harry – making a fresh batch of thumbprint cookies.
Meghan is also seen sharing a sweet moment with her son, as the proud mum pulls Archie – who will turn six in May – in for an adorable cuddle and kiss.
It has been confirmed that Meghan will be releasing a second series of her Netflix series later this year.
