Melania Trump beams as she receives White House Christmas tree | World | News
Melania Trump has received the White House’s Christmas tree for 2025. Donald Trump’s wife and the US First Lady beamed as she stood next to the special delivery, sourced from Korson’s Tree Farms in Michigan, and said: “It’s a beautiful tree. Merry Christmas.” The concolor fir, which will be erected in the Blue Room, arrived on a horse-drawn carriage.
Mrs Trump inspected the Christmas tree, which was personally chosen by Dale Haney, the White House’s superintendent of grounds, in September, and posed for photographs before shaking hands with the driver. She wore a cream coloured coat, burgundy gloves, and festive-patterned shoes. The tree’s home farm began in 1973, and is located nearly an hour northeast of Grand Rapids.
Earlier this year, a brief teaser video to show what was in store for the White House during the festive period was shared online, and showed Melania arranging a gold-themed Christmas display, which featured garlands and different ornaments.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity,” Korson said, on behalf of the growers, The Independent reports.
“We’re proud to be able to represent real Christmas tree farmers across the United States and carrying on that tradition of providing a real Christmas tree for the White House.”
The tree’s arrival means Mrs Trump is due to unveil her 2025 decorations, an annual event.
Korson’s grows 12 species of evergreens on over 1000 acres, according to its website.
It adds: “Korson’s Tree Farms carries a complete line of wholesale cut Christmas trees, wreaths and garland for your retail setting.
