The King and handmaiden of the self-styled Kubala tribe have been detained during a morning raid of their camp in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire. Kofi Offeh, 36, and Kaura Taylor, 21, were apprehended by the authorities in a raid of their makeshift camp just after 8am on Thursday (October 2).

The group had been living in woods near the Scottish town since May. They were served with an eviction notice last month as they were on private land. Kofi’s wife, Jean Gasho, posted live-streamed video of members of the group being led away by officers.
