Netflix fans say same thing hours after new Knives Out film drops | Films | Entertainment

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has finally arrived with fans flocking to Netflix to delve into the latest head-scratching investigation.  Three years have passed since Detective Benoit Blanc (played by Daniel Craig) was last on our screens for the sequel Glass Onion. This time around, Benoit has a very unusual case on his hands as he discovers a murder has been committed at a small church in upstate New York but the circumstances around the death leave him puzzled.

Benoit finds himself at the heart of an intense investigation where “faith, secrets and suspicion blur” into one, as he takes on what has been described as his “most personal case to date”. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery may have just been released this morning, Friday, December 12, but subscribers have already unanimously made their minds up about the film.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a flurry of fans have marked Wake Up Dead Man as the “best Knives Out film yet”, with many labelling it as their “favourite” of the three films.

“Best movie in the franchise”, someone simply stated as another echoed: “I’m going to have to rewatch them to be on the safe side, but I think #WakeUpDeadMan might be my favourite Benoit Blanc outing.”

A third agreed: “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery was an amazing film. It may even be the best of the 3, no easy feat.”

Heaping on the praise, a fellow user wrote: “I think it’s my favourite of the three films, it’s that good,” while someone else said: “An incredibly funny, tense & amazing film that has you guessing its entire runtime.

“There is a massive mystery with many layers. It’ll keep you guessing until the end,” a fan commented and another subscriber simply stated: “The best Knives Out is now on Netflix.”

Scoring a very impressive 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, Wake Up Dead Man has also been praised for its outstanding cast, joining Craig for the third outing.

The film includes Fleabag icon Andrew Scott, That 70s Show star Mila Kunis, Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner and No Country For Old Men icon Jason Brolin.

But it was the performance of The Crown legend Josh O’Connor that really won fans over.

Someone wrote that O’Connor is “absolutely owning the screen” throughout the film while another wrote: “Daniel Craig is brilliant as always but it’s Josh O’Connor who steals the show”, and a third stated he was “fantastic”.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is available to watch on Netflix.
