Nothing beats these excellent earbuds at an incredibly low new price
Nothing has made a name for itself with well priced, transparent Android smartphones, but the firm also produces excellent audio products, with over-ear headphones and earbuds packing in excellent specs for a reasonable cost.
Right now you can pick up the Nothing Ear (a) for an absolute steal: just £55.99, down from the usual £89 RRP on Amazon.
I’ve said many times that these earbuds are great, even at the full price, so to pick them up for less than £60 really is a superb offer. This price is for the black model, which at the ime of writing is listed cheaper than the white and yellow versions.
The Ear (a) are Nothing’s entry-level in-ear wireless earbuds. Although pricier models might boast slightly better audio and noise cancellation, I’m still impressed how much oomph these little buds pack in considering the price.
They have active noise cancellation (ANC) that works well to block out unwanted external sounds, and via the Nothing X app for Android or iPhone you can even set an adaptive mode that reacts to your surroundings. There’s also a transparency mode so you can still hear the world around you when wearing the buds, with several tip sizes in the box so you can get the right fit.

Audio is impressively punchy. It’s not as well rounded, full or balanced as the AirPods Pro 3, but those rivals cost a mammoth £219. For £55.99, the Nothing Ear (a) completely deliver the goods, with great bass response and a wide soundstage. You can adjust the EQ in the app to your liking too, and you even get Hi-Res audio support – something buds twice the price don’t necessarily have.
There’s also support for dual connection, so you can be linked to two devices at once, while a single charge can deliver up to 9.5 hours of music playback – and 42.5 hours overall with a fully charged charging case (topped up via USB-C). The case is also small and pleasingly very pocketable.
The stems of each bud have pinch controls to play/pause and control the ANC, leaving you with a set of incredibly fully featured earbuds at a bargain price.
