A representative for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed: “Two ambulances and a paramedic car were sent to Tesco in Pitsea on December 12 following reports of a person with a medical emergency.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of all involved, a person died at the scene.”

The Tesco Extra in Pitsea is known for its high footfall as it’s considered the UK’s largest Tesco store and one of the biggest supermarkets in Europe.
