‘Phenomenal’ action film that made fans ‘weep’ is streaming for free | Films | Entertainment
BBC iPlayer is about to stream one of the biggest movies of the past decade completely free after it airs later today (Tuesday, 23rd December).
One of the highest grossing films of all time, it stunned millions of fans back in 2021 and has continued to entertain millions more once it was released on Disney+.
However, families feeling the squeeze this Christmas are in luck as the epic action blockbuster will be available to watch without spending a single penny, so there’s no need to sign up to another streaming service.
Superhero fans will be delighted as Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home will be airing on BBC One this afternoon at 3:45pm.
It will then be streamable on iPlayer totally free for a limited time, perfect for kids and parents alike to get whisked away by this comic book thrill ride.
Tom Holland returns to his iconic role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the third film in Marvel’s epic trilogy. Determined to protect his secret identity, he calls on fellow Avenger Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) to wipe everyone’s memory.
Unfortunately, the spell malfunctions and starts to pull in the web-slinger’s deadliest foes from other universes. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina also star.
Boasting a staggering 93 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, and an even higher audience rating of 97 percent, you’re guaranteed a great time this holiday with Spider-Man: No Way Home.
One five-star review on Letterboxd raved: “The whole theatre ERUPTED, ya’ll know when. I cant breathe this was absolutely phenomenal best film of the year.
“I WEPT when [spoiler] saved [spoiler] and was talking about [spoiler]. I swear to god I’m not okay.”

High praise continued on IMDb where one user gave the film a perfect score and said: “Spider-Man: No Way Home is a phenomenal conclusion to the trilogy and Holland’s best outing as Spidey yet.
“Starts off fun, safe and familiar and then becomes extremely emotional, satisfying and full of great callbacks. A love letter to all things Spider-Man.”
And a final fan declared it was the “Best Movie Of The Year”, adding: “Spider-Man No Way Home is everybody’s dream, it’s an exciting movie, with an epic story, and phenomenal performances…
“It’s just amazing, it’s incredible, it’s fantastic, it’s mind blowing, it’s an experience that I will never forget, once crossed my mind that this one is probably even better than Avengers Endgame.”
