POLL: Should King invite Harry and Meghan to Sandringham? | Royal | News

The King has seen his youngest son on two occasions over the past two years, but has yet to be reunited with his daughter-in-law and his two youngest grandchildren. Meghan last visited the UK in September 2022, during which she attended the late Queen’s funeral.

Much like their mother, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet last visited the UK in 2022.

The young royals, now aged six and four, travelled to the UK to attend the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

The visit is thought to have been the last time the King saw Archie and the first – and only – time that he physically met Lilibet.

In a bombshell report by the Sunday Times, Harry is keen to spend time with his father this year.

A friend of Harry told the publication, “If he were invited by the King, he would get a package of security that automatically kicks in. He’d like an invite to Sandringham.

“Would he go? It would depend on who was there. If the King was to say, ‘Come up and spend some time with the family’, he’d love that.”

The King is also understood to be keen to spend more time with Harry’s two children.

He is, however, aware that his priorities lie with the Crown and that a visit from Harry and Meghan may prove too controversial.
