Premium Apple Watch is far less than you think after this surprising discount

Amazon is discounting several very popular tech products as part of its Spring Deal Days sale this week, but I was very surprised to see the latest Apple Watch as one of the items to receive a big price cut.

You can currently pick up the Apple Watch Series 11 for £299, a very good £70 discount on the usual £369 RRP. It’s rare to see such a big discount on a current generation Apple gadget – in this case a 19 percent saving.

The Apple Watch Series 11 launched just six months ago in September 2025, so will remain the newest ‘Series’ Apple Watch for at least another six months – Apple tends to update the model each year.

It’s the middle-tier Watch, above the Apple Watch SE 3 but below the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in terms of price and features. I have tested the Series 11, and it feels like an excellent sweet spot for Apple Watch buyers, especially for less than £300. This model is the smaller screen 42mm version.

At the time of writing, you can pick between four different case and strap colour combinations, with each watch made from aluminium. You can also pick whether to get an S/M or M/L size strap with your purchase – you can use this tool to check which is for you.

Getting an Apple Watch has two modern bases covered: it’s both an extension of your phone for notifications, reminders and other tasks, and even for taking calls on, if you really want thanks to the mic and speaker. But it’s also a 24/7 health and fitness device, and the Series 11 is packed with advanced sensors that provide Apple’s latest health perks.

The Series 11 not only automatically counts your steps, heart rate, calories, distance and more when worn, it can also be set up to alert you to potential hypertension (that’s high blood pressure) as well as atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythms), which you may not know about. You can then go on to consult a doctor.

You can also wear the Series 11 to bed and the device will track how well you slept. I didn’t used to use an Apple Watch for this because the battery life was never good enough, but it’s easier with the Series 11 as Apple upped the battery life from 18 hours to 24 hours. With pretty fast charging, you can top it up just before bed for a few minutes and have enough juice to record your slumber.

I also really enjoy setting a vibrating alarm to wake me up, so it’s a gentle tap on the wrist at 7am not a blaring alarm. This is also good if you don’t want to wake your partner up.

Unlike some fitness watches, Apple does not charge a subscription for you to access all the features of the Series 11, and all your data is available to you. The optional Fitness+ service simply gives you additional coaching content and videos.

If you’ve been weighing up an Apple Watch, this £299 deal on the Series 11 is well worth considering.
